Hi! My name is Madison, and I am a somatic psychotherapist and poet living in Gainesville, FL.

I am also a normal human who does a better job of talking and moving than of sitting still. I do rest sometimes, but it takes effort and a good book.

I work with anxious people because I deeply understand and care about them. I have a personal history of anxiety (in C-PTSD and OCD recovery) and all of the healing required to work with its gravitational force. It has led to a personal and professional passion for braiding together the most updated neuroscience with the somatic and poetic experience of the individual.

My formal education is listed below and my somatics resume can be requested. I have extensive postgraduate training in the field of somatic psychology and continue to pursue more. I feel very lucky to have many teachers and mentors in this field to whom I owe my hope in this work to.

For my fellow academic nerds: I am currently studying the existing research on embodied cognition and poetry as an innately somatic practice. I love to work with fellow poets and writers.
